All About Vision. Sponsored and unsponsored content about a wide range of vision topics.

American Academy of Ophthalmology. The largest national membership organization of medical doctors who specialize in treating the eye.

American Academy of Optometry. Dedicated research and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of vision science.

American Diabetes Association. The nation's leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy.

American Macular Degeneration Foundation. Works for the prevention, treatment, and cure of macular degeneration through raising funds, educating the public, and supporting scientific research.

American Optometric Association. A federation of state, student, and armed forces optometric associations.

American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. An independent non-profit organization that disseminates information about anterior segment ophthalmic surgery.

Eye Surgery Education Council. Information for patients and families about a variety of vision problems, including cataracts.

Glaucoma Research Foundation. A non-profit organization that funds research and provides education about glaucoma.

Mayo Clinic. Information on cataract surgery prepared by the clinic staff.

National Eye Institute. One of the Federal government's National Institutes of Health (NIH). Conducts and supports research that helps prevent and treat eye diseases and other disorders of vision.

The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. Highly regarded institute staffed by 40 scientists and 90 clinicians, offering information about cataracts and other diseases and conditions.
